Sewer easments obtained in Cambridge

At the March 8 Cambridge Village Board Meeting, President Donn Trieloff announed all the land easements necessary for the new sewer have been obtained. This removes one possible difficulty in making the new swer system a reality. Village Board Members expressed relief that this part of the process had been completed. In a joint water and sewer committee meeting with the Town of Oakland, the bid was awarded at $7.9 million. All bids were within the engineering estimates. There was only a $3,000 spread between the awarded bid and the second highest bidder. Bids are also in for the lift station and bathrooms in West Side Park and these were lower than estimated.
