Cambridge Lions/ Community Hope bowling fundraiser is sucessful
During the third Cambridge Lions Club/Community Hope annual bowling tournament, participants were heard screaming to get their bets in on a colored head pin, raffles were being sold, pull tabs were being peddled, prizes were being handed out, and yellow /gold Lions vests were everywhere. But this year there was something different. Ladies were taking the bets, handing out prizes and buzzing around with no yellow/gold vests. They were the ladies of Community Hope. Earlier this year, a Lions club member needed help paying for medical expenses and Community Hope stepped in. Jana Evans and Kristie Trieloff approached the Cambridge Lions Club with the idea of combining forces to produce some revenue.
Cambridge Lions Club members warmed to the idea, adn the parnership was formed. Saturday, April 9 was teh test. With over 66 door prizes available, the tournament had success written all over it. The prizes were collected y the ladies of Community Hope, who put a lot of time and effor in collectin them from the business community that generously supports Community Hope and Lions Club.
