Lion Wally’s Corner

My fellow Lions, Lioness, and Leo’s. I hope this article finds all of you in the best of health and good spirits. Remember, “Everyone has an invisible sign hanging from their neck saying Make Me Feel Important! Never forget this message when working with people.” (Mary Kay Ash) The Lionistic year is fast coming to end, and we must remember to finish on a positive note.
Lion Secretaries: This is the month (May 1st) that your clubs should have sent in by now the PU 101’s to Lions Clubs International, our District Governor CJ, and to our Vive District Governor Wally. If you haven’t sent the PU
101’s in, please do so right away. I need to get this information to the State Executive Secretary/Treasure Lion Dwain Habrat by the 15th of May. If not your club will not be in the state directory for 2005 – 2006.

Lion Presidents: Please remember to send you’re new and seniors club Officers to the District Leadership School. May 21, 2005 at the Abby in Fontana. Also dearing May 12-14, 2005 the District 27-A1 is hosting The
State Lions Convention also at the Abby and several other resorts in the area. I hope to see you there.

USA/CANADA LIONS LEADERSHIP FORUM: The 29th Annual Forum will be held at Peoria, Illinois on September 22-24, 2005. The Forum offers Lion Leaders opportunity to learn and grow their skills in all aspects of leadership and to gain the knowledge required to be a successful Lion Leader. You will have a choice of over 50 different Seminars. You will also have some great and very inspirational speakers. I would encourage any Lion
Leader who wishes to be a better Lion Leader to attend this outstanding and very rewarding program. If interested please see me or call me for more information. Inclosing, “Start right where you are. Distant fields always look greener, but opportunity lies right where you are. Take advantage of every opportunity of service.” (Robert Collier)
