East Koshkonong Lutheran Church Pastor Clint Schnekloth always enjoyed running. He has competed in a number of marathongs and found it an enjoyable thing to do. Schnekloth also serves as an ambassador to the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service where he helps refugees new to teh U.S. find their footing in a new land. Schnedloth joined the organization after he returned from his missionary work adn knew firsthnad how hard it is to become familiar with a new country, especially if the person is foreign to that country. His drive to help immigrants and refugees feel at home is what led him to the Lutheran Immigration adn Refugee Service. Schnekloth had always wanted to run for a reason adn the perfect opportunity came along.

It’s kind of funny how I decided to do it. I like to run marathons and always had the idea of doing a fund-raiser marathon but marathons are a funny distance, like 26.2 miles. When I heard about the Syttende Mai race, I thought it would work great for fund-raising because it’s an even 20 miles. That was initially how I got teh idea.
