There is nothing as challenging as 36 trucks racing 250 laps around a .44-mile bullring, and Todd Kluever rose to the challenge to tie his best finish of the season. Kluever came from 20th place to finish fourth, his second top five in six races. The no. 50 World Financial Group Ford was tight early in the race, but Kluever began to move up through the field. Mansfield is one of the most difficult tracks to pass so he had to find the right balance between aggressiveness and patience. With 50 laps to go he was in thrid place, but Jack Sprague and SHane Hmiel were coming up through the field in a hurry. Both drivers go by him and Kluever fell to fifth with 40 laps remaining. He was able to reclaim fourth place and hang on through a greeen, white, checker finish which extended the race by four laps. Bobby Hamilton won the race, follwed by Sprague, and Hmiel.
