Daylilies ready at the PlumHill Farm Daylily Nusery

For many, this time of the year is a time spent planning out the gardens, finding the perfect plants and getting them in the gournd. Linda Ball, owner of PlumHill Farm Daylily Nursery, hopes garden shoppers dont’ forget about the beauty of daylilies can bring to any garden. Ball has always loved gardening adn has had a garden since she was 17 years old. Ball along with her husband, Michael, both have green thumbs and use them to the benefit of themselves and others.

The Balls came to the Cambridge area and bought a farmhouse on Woodside Road in the Town of Sumner. They started raising animals and a vegetables for families in need. Ball now has 345 different daylilies in her nursery and most are available to area gardeners.

The PlumHill Farm Daylily Nursery opns during peak bloom season and is gearing up to open for the first time this summer Saturday, June 25. Ball will also offer special open garden tours july 16, 17, 23, and 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each garden tour includes light refreshments, and Ball always encourages visitors to bring a friend or two and enjoy a day with the daylilies.
