Cambridge Wisconsin Library seeks trustee

The Cambridge Wisconsin Library has an opening and is seeking an interested individual to fill a library trustee position on a seven-member board. This individual needs to reside in rural Dane County. The trustee position includes one monthly board meeting (first Wednesday of the month), some committee work, and a willingnes to serve his/her community through commitment to and enthusiasm for the community’s public library. Serving on a public library board is similiar to serving, as one might, in any other busines, civi, or cultural board undertaking. Currently, the library board is working with a steering committee to obtain funding for a new 9,510 square foot library along with administrating a community library that houses a collection fo 24,500 items, is a member of more than a 40-library LINK Consortium, with Cambridge Library’s circulation being approximately 49,900 items in 2004.
