Words from District Governor, Walter Natynski
My fellow Lions, Lioness, and Leo’s. I hope this article finds all of us in the best of health and great spirits.
I want to take the time to thank some great people for my year as your Vice District Governor.
First: and foremost is my understanding and loving wife honorary Lioness, Linda for all of her support and backing this past year. We had a lot of fun visiting clubs, fundraisers, and meeting the Lions, Lioness, and Leo’s of District 27-A1. We are looking forward to seeing and visiting with you all in 2005-2006.
Second: IPDG CJ and his lovely wife Lioness Betty. I was very lucky to serve under his leadership and guidance this past year; the year went by way to fast. Lion IPDG Claude and I had are difference of opinions but it was a great year I had working with and for him. Thank you my friend. I hoped I did the job for you and the District?
Third: are the members of the Franklin Lions Club and Franklin Lioness who help in my campaign for Vice District Governor and District Governor. Without their support and help I would not be your District Governor today. Next but no means last, I want to thank all the Lions of 27-A1 for there support and kindness. I know that the upcoming year as your District Governor will be a lot of work (but fun and rewarding). “That is why I ask for and got the job of District Governor.” The International convention in Hong Kong was just great. Hong Kong is a very beautiful city and they treated the Lions of the World with great respect, and honor. I was pleased that Linda and I had the privilege to represent the Franklin Lions Club, District 27-A1, MD 27 and the people of Wisconsin in China. Please know that The District Governor, Vice District Governor and Cabinet Members of 2005-2006 Cabinet are here to serve the Lions, Lioness, and Leo’s of District 27-A1 “FIRST”.
The Districts Goals for 2005-2006 are as follows,
One: Increase club membership by one new member per club.
Two: one new club.
Three: a 25% increase in enrollment at the Leadership Seminar in March.
Four: a 25% increase in enrollment at the officers school in May.
Five: a 25% increase in the attendance at the Honors Dinner in June.
This is my personal psychology and vision for our District.
“The leader must know, must know that he knows, and must be able to make it abundantly clear to those around him that he knows.” – Clarence Randall.
Knowing is important but its not the only thing to leadership, there are many other parts that add up to making a strong District. The up coming year will be a lot of hard work, fun, and individual rewards for all of us in the “SERVICE TO OTHERS.” WE SERVE!
In the Service To You,
Walter J. Natylnski DG
