Assistance Requested!

June 27th, 2007

The Cambridge Lions Club has been asked to help in a community effort at the Cambridge Schools. We were contacted by the Cambridge AODA to supply food at their next town hall meeting. We have agreed to provide the grills, food,(brats, hamburgers, buns, condiments) and some manpower.

We would like to invite other civic groups to help us out in this event. We can use your help in supplying manpower, refreshments, such as water, soda, milk?, deserts and the like.

The meeting is August 13th at the high school. I do not have a time yet, but I would imagine that it would start around 6-7pm.

We think this is a community wide issue, and if we all work together, maybe the kids will eventually start taking this issue of drinking and using drugs to heart.

If your organization wishes to assist please contact the Lions Club

Cambridge Lions Visit Boy Scout Troop 41

June 20th, 2007

In the backwoods heading towards Jefferson on HWY 18 on the left hand side just before Park Street there is a small driveway.  Continuing down the drive you end up heading down what appears to be a road heading into deep woods.  Just over the hill you will come upon the Cambridge Boy Scout Troop 41 facility with a fire pit on the right and a bow and rifle range in the back.
